Five-star hotel with Michelin-starred restaurant and bistro
De Echoput
Veluwe game on the table and the forest on the doorstep.

From our diary
Dining and staying at De Echoput
Jonathan Zandbergen takes a broad view of the word game. At Wild Atelier it means venison and the like from the Veluwe, but just as much sustainable fishing and regenerative farming, in menus of five or seven courses. There is a vegetarian version called Bos & Tuin, forest and garden, which strikes us as a fine name for what surrounds you here. The restaurant only opened in June 2025, so it is young and still finding its way.
De Echoput itself is a good deal older. The Klosse family has been here since 1955, now with Lodewijk Klosse as the third generation. Alongside Wild Atelier there is Grand Bistro Echo, open seven days a week, with a terrace and garden. There is also a spa, a cookery studio and the family's own wine shop. With forty-two rooms and suites it is not a small hideaway, and you should know that. It is, though, a place where you can walk straight into the woods in the morning.
Good to know
Wild Atelier and Grand Bistro Echo are two different restaurants, so be clear about which one you want when you book.
