POSTEN Nordic Cuisine
Nordic cooking in an old post office. You don't see that often.

From our diary
Dining and staying at POSTEN Nordic Cuisine
We're curious about anything we can't eat round the corner, and Nordic cuisine certainly counts. In Frederiksoord's former post office, chef Mikael Lindqvist cooks with influences from Finland and Scandinavia. There is no à la carte: you choose how many courses of his menu you want, from five to eight. His business partner Ruwan Berculo runs the room.
Frederiksoord lies within the Colonies of Benevolence, which are on UNESCO's World Heritage list. So the heritage is all around you, and we'd certainly make time for it during the day. You can stay over in their own Nordic-style bedrooms. There aren't many, so don't leave it late to call. If you like to linger over a long menu, this isn't for you. If you're happy for someone else to make the choices, and from a kitchen you'll barely find anywhere else in the country, you'll be in good hands.
