Boutique hotel with starred restaurant on a country estate
Central Park Voorburg
A wine list worth staying for, so we stay.

From our diary
Dining and staying at Central Park Voorburg
Henk Savelberg turned it into a hotel and restaurant in 1989. Ron Blaauw followed from 2014 to 2018, and since then Central Park has stood on its own feet, with Joey de Kruijf as host and co-owner and Tim Bood and Hette Hettema in the kitchen. The house is a country residence from 1751 on the Vreugd en Rust estate in Voorburg, a listed monument, set in a park that J.D. Zocher the younger completed around 1830.
Then there's the wine. In 2023 Gault&Millau named it Wine List of the Year. To us that's a dangerous quality in a restaurant, unless you can stay the night. Here you can: fourteen rooms and suites, all with Hästens beds, and the suites look out over the park. If you love wine, you don't have to choose between another glass and going home. We choose the glass, and then the bed.
Good to know
The restaurant is closed on Sundays and Mondays, so plan your stay for another night of the week.
